The Nepal Trust promotes WASH (Water/Sanitation/Hygiene) activities and helps people to access clean drinking.
Clean water is the world’s most valuable resource, yet it is a strange fact that, in a country with towering mountains, and abundant winter rain fall, a late summer monsoon and streams rushing down the hillsides, delivering and maintaining supplies of clean drinking water and the safe disposal of waste waters is a on-going and serious challenge.
Improvement in water quality and sanitation facilities is the quickest way to improve general health and quality of life in the community. Clean water contributes to food production, raises the health and hygiene standards in villages, and is central to daily life of villagers.
We have been heavily involved in WASH programmes (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) . Our focus is to raise awareness of the importance of clean water supply schemes, promotion of proper water usage and water-health related issues
