Working in Nepal for over 25 years we’ve been involved in many, many different projects. In the early years the emphasis was towards health scare and renewable energy schemes: the emphasis is now more towards education and healthcare and in particular the training of healthcare workers.

There is a lot of overlap between the two: our Little Doctors, 100% to School and Mother & Child programmes are both health related and educational, as also was our Covid19 awareness programme.
Community engagement is at the heart of all of the projects we undertake. For a project to be long term sustainable the local community has to take ownership of it. The best way to achieve this is to have the community “invest skin in the project”

For example, one of the biggest projects we undertook was the 50kw Gothi Kola micro hydro scheme: we procured and funded the turbine, generators, piping and cabling: the local community provided and funded the labour and building skills and sourced an element of the finance needed.
